Want to escape the Saturday night reality TV shows? Miss the variety shows of yesteryear? Want some fantastic live entertainment instead? Then this is the event for you!

On Saturday 29th October 2011, live at Hawkinge Community Centre, near Folkestone, TVC Promotions are presenting "Vintage Cabaret Nights".

Their spokesman said, "It's an antidote to those all-singing, all-dancing monotonous Saturday night programmes. We missed the variety shows of old and so thought we'd bring it back!" And what a show it promises to be with both live music and comedy.

The "Vintage Cabaret Night" on 29th October will star legendary comedian Jimmy Cricket. Jimmy Cricket is one of the UK’s most loved Irish Comedians, having made a host of televisions and radio appearances throughout the last three decades. Jimmy, who will be bringing his family show bursting with giggles, is excited to be visiting the area.

Jimmy said, “It is great to be visiting the Hawkinge area. If you want an evening away from wrestling with the remote control to find anything decent on television, then this is the perfect opportunity.”

Supporting Jimmy Cricket at the "Vintage Cabaret Night" will be The Vintage Corporation. The Vintage Corporation are a fabulous live 9-piece band specialising in the sounds of the '60s and '70s, with glorious 4 and 5 part harmonies. These musicians have no backing tracks or panel of judges, but certainly know how to put on a show that will have you dancing in the aisles.

So, what are you waiting for? Doors open on Saturday 29th October at 7.30pm for an 8pm start. With tickets costing £10 per person (£9 concessions), you'll have a fantastic time listening to the sounds of the '60s and '70s, as well as laughing like you've never laughed before!
