A paper included in the outline plan for the so called employment land off Hurricane Way in Hawkinge published on the Shepway Council website in August should not have been included.

The paper which showed a petrol station, cinema and ten-pin bowling complex, fast food unit, a sixty room hotel and a medical centre are not part of the current proposal.

Hawkinge Parish Council Chairman, Cllr David Callahan admitted to being puzzled by the drawings and the Council contacted Shepway planners for clarification.

It was then that the error was discovered.

The correct plans can be viewed at the Hawkinge Community Centre and will be discussed at the monthly meeting of Hawkinge Parish Council on Wednesday 15 September.
