Woman sexually assaulted on Folkestone beach

A woman has been seriously sexually assaulted on a beach in Folkestone.
 


 

The victim, in her late teens was followed onto the beach by a man near the Sunny Sands area of the town at 0130 BST on Thursday 1 July say Kent Police.

Officers want to speak to a couple who were sitting around a campfire and went to the woman's aid.

The suspect, who was wearing green camouflage trousers, ran away along Wear Bay Road.
