Hawkinge Community Warden Tanya Clark has said complaints of dog fouling in the village have 'rocketed'.

She said: "I am working with the local Dog Warden and other enforcement officers from Shepway to be highly visible in 'hotspot' areas."

Tanya explained that some areas are particularly bad with 'dog mess everywhere'.

She warns: "Fixed penalty notices will be issued without hesitation if you fail to pick up after your dog."

Tanya is also arranging another Community Spring Clean towards the end of April and is asking villagers to contact her on 07811 271303 if they would like to help.
