Inconsiderate parking on Hawkinge footpaths is putting pedestrians at risk

Have your say!

Dear Editor,

Village Warden Tanya Clark is so right about the complaints of vehicles being parked on footpaths.

Yes it is a danger for Mums with prams and pushchairs, and it is a danger for those people who are disabled.

But it is also a danger for anybody who has to walk into the road to continue their journey, and all because an inconsiderate driver abandons their car for reasons best known to themselves.

It is illegal to park on the footpath and inconsiderate to park near roundabouts and junctions ie Uphill and Harvest and Webster Way.

When is something going to be done about it?

Tony Hutt
