Former Parish Councillor John Punnett returns home after heart operation

A former Hawkinge Parish Councillor is out of hospital recuperating following surgery to replace the aortic valve in his heart.
 



John Punnett, a well known popular villager and motorcycle enthusiast is now putting his feet up in his Canterbury Road home after being discharged by Surgeons at St Thomas's Hospital  in London yesterday (1 March), who successfully carried out the procedure on 21 February.

 John admitted to being a little tired but he said: "I'll soon be fighting fit and back to square one."
