A creative new play area which includes features such as a zip wire, large climbing boulder and a tube slide has been officially opened this week.

Located in Connaught Park, Dover, the high quality design was developed in consultation with the local community.

A toddlers’ area with cradle swings and a sandpit, and a range of inclusive features, such as a wheelchair accessible roundabout also feature in the design.

The design includes landscaping elements, natural boulders and planting.

The new play area has been funded by Dover District Council and the Government through the Playbuilder programme.
