The M20 near Folkestone was closed this morning (8 February) after a lorry loaded with beer spilled its load of probably the best lager in the world.

The carriageway between junction 12 and 13 was awash with a reported 40 tons of Budweiser, Carlsberg and Guinness.

There were long delays in the area and police advised drivers to find an alternative route.

The motorway was fully opened late morning. It is understood there were no injuries.
