National swine flu pandemic service helpline to close

Health bosses are pulling the plug on the Swine flu helpline after a dramatic drop in cases.


With the number of new cases dropping to 5,000 a week, health chiefs announced the 24-hour flu helpline will close down at 1.00am on Thursday (11 February).

The pandemic has cost the nation more than £1billion.

In the seven month outbreak, Swine flu has killed 411 Britons.
