Trevor Wilmott installed as Bishop of Dover in Canterbury Cathedral service

The new Bishop of Dover has been installed in a special service at Canterbury Cathedral.


The Right Reverend Trevor Willmott, formerly the Bishop of Basingstoke was installed by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams in front of around 1,000 people who attended the service on Saturday (6 February).

The Bishop, who has a wife and daughter plans to spend his first weeks meeting residents and touring the area.

He takes over from Rt Rev Dr Stephen Venner who is Bishop to the Forces, a post he has held since July 2009. He will also continue as Bishop to the Falkland Islands.
