Simple solution to a sticky problem tested in town centre

News

Special bins have been put in place to encourage gum users and smokers not to litter the footpath and to discard their chewing gum and cigarette butts responsibly.

Dover District Council has installed three double-sided cigarette and gum bins in the town's Market Square.

Cllr Nigel Collor, Cabinet Member for Access and Property Management said: “We continue to listen to our communities, and following a number of requests, we are very pleased to trial these dedicated cigarette butt and chewing gum bins in Dover Town Centre.”
