A Dover man's dying wish to have signs on  his hearse saying 'Smoking killed me - please give up!' will have his request granted.

Dover businessman Albert 'Dick' Whittamore who ran a print shop in the town died from the lung disease emphysema after being a heavy smoker throughout his life.

Before his death earlier this month Albert, 85, said he wanted signs on his hearse to encourage people to give up smoking.

Funeral Director, Paul Sullivan from Sullivan and Sons has agreed to make signs for the hearse.

Mr Whittamore will be buried on Tuesday at St Mary's Cemetery.
