The tribute to Rifleman Peter Aldridge which was to have taken place before the soccer match between Folkestone Invicta and Croydon has been postponed.

The Chairman of Folkestone Invicta, Lynn Woods, has said that due to the weather over the past few days, the tribute planned for Saturday's game (27 February) against Croydon has been postponed, with the game itself very unlikely to go ahead.

In an email, Lynn Woods said: " After yesterday evening's storm in Folkestone the match against Croydon is now very unlikely to be able to go ahead and we've decided to postpone the tribute to Rifleman Aldridge until a later date.

"Assuming the match against Croydon is formally called off we are expecting it to be rescheduled for Tuesday 20th April evening but that's still to be confirmed."
