Two men suffered serious injuries following a collision between a lorry and a stationery vehicle on the A2 near Lydden yesterday (17 February).

The incident caused the lorry to jack-knife and fall on to its side.

Police said the two men suffering from serious, possibly life-threatening injuries were being treated in hospital.

One man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate by ambulance, while the other was airlifted by Kent Air Ambulance to a London hospital.

The cause of the collision is not yet known and Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
