A Folkestone amateur radio enthusiast who lost his Yaesu handheld equipment in the town has had the device returned after it was found at the weekend.

The man lost the Yaesu VX-6E radio on the previous Friday, after the belt clip on the radio had broken.

It has now been returned to him after a Shepway Council worker found it over the weekend.

The radio was undamaged and the battery still fully charged.
