The deadline for a children's painting competition at the Capel Farmers' Market has been extended due to the recent heavy snowfalls.
 

On Tuesday 16th February Capel-le-Ferne Farmers Market were planning to display all the entries for this competition, as the deadline was 14th February, and to announce the winners.

However, due to the snow and inclement weather conditions, the post has not been able to get through, and the local school closed, so we have decided to extend the deadline.

The theme is still ‘Thoughts of Spring’. but the new deadline will be 28th March

The entries will be displayed on 30th March at the Easter Special Farmers Market, where the winners will be presented with their prizes.

We ask that entries be submitted to

Children's Competition,

c/o 26 Alexandra Road,

Capel-le-Ferne,

Folkestone,

Kent CT18 7LN

by 28th March. They will be judged on 29th March and on show at the Market on 30th March, First and Second Prizes will be given for each category.

The Categories are:-

Age 5 – 10 years for Paintings
Age 11 – 16 years for Paintings
Age 5 – 10 years for Photographs
Age 11 – 16 years for Photographs

For each entry, (any size) we ask for a 50p entry fee, There is no limit to the number of entries per child.

Each entry to have name, address, telephone number and age on the back. If cheques are sent, please make them payable to Capel-le-Ferne Village Hall Management Committee.

Entries will not be returned, but if you wish to collect them from the Market on 6th April, you are welcome to do so.
