LD Lines and Transeuropa Ferries are joining forces to launch a new ferry service between Ramsgate and Ostend.

Transeuropa, which already sails out of Ramsgate, and LD Lines will jointly sail the Norman Spirit between the ports.

LD Lines has been operating The Norman Spirit between Dover and Boulogne, and it's to be renamed Ostend Spirit for its launch in March.

A special launch offer starts from £24 single for a car and five passengers, subject to availability.

LD Lines said that services on the Dover to Boulogne route, which currently use the Norman Spirit, would be replaced by the Brave Merchant, which will also be renamed. There's not expected to be any disruption to services.
