Peter Pan Panto attracts celebrities to Marlowe Arena - (Photo)

With just over 20 shows to go, Dover actress Karol Steele is over half-way through the run of Peter Pan at the Marlowe Arena in Canterbury.

The first show performed in the Arena, which is in place until 2011 when construction of the New Marlowe Theatre is due to be completed, has been a success, despite a few technical hitches.

Karol said: "It has been hard work but a lot of fun working in the Arena, which holds close to 1200 people at any one time. The cast of Peter Pan have been superb, especially the show's star, Adrian Edmonson, who has attracted a number of his celebrity friends to come and watch the show.

"Over the Christmas period alone we had Jennifer Saunders, Russell Brand David Baddiel and Phill Jupitus pop in to watch the show and stay for a drink with us afterwards. I had to work on my wedding anniversary last Monday, but meeting Phill made up for it!"

Peter Pan runs until 17 January, and there are tickets still available, which can be obtained by ringing the box office on 01227 787787 or by logging onto www.marlowepeterpan.co.uk .
