BHS in the flagship Bouverie Place Shopping Centre in Folkestone is to close.

Boss Sir Philip Green is to sell ten of the leases from his BHS stores to rival retailer Primark.

Staff were told about the closures on Friday night

The affected stores which include Folkestone employ 350 staff, and will close over the next 12 months.

The deal is part of a wider shake-up of Green's property portfolio and follows his decision to merge the 185-strong BHS chain with the rest of his Arcadia retail empire, which includes Topshop and Dorothy Perkins.
