Following the criticism by Opposition Leader on Kent County Council (KCC), Trudy Dean, over salt bin proposals, the council have hit back.
(see story here)

Kent County Council Cabinet Member for Highways Nick Chard said: "KCC needs to make sure that salt bins are safely sited and know where they are positioned so they can be refilled.

"How bizarre that Mrs Dean is complaining that KCC are proposing to fund the bins rather than charge parish councils.

"If Mrs Dean is so sure it is "madness" why, as Chairman of KCC scrutiny committee, didn't she scrutinise."
