A cricket match which sees all-star players from County and England teams pitting their wits and skill against the Alkham Badgers is due to be played on the village's notoriously unpredictable wicket at the end of the month.

This is the second annual Alkham Cricket club match against The Marquis and another big crowd is expected.

The match begins at 1.00pm on 28 September.

If you fancy making a day of it, The Marquis is putting on a three course meal with a glass of house wine and guest speakers in the evening.

Tickets are just £24.95. For more information telephone 01304 873410.
