Blaze guts part of Cinque Ports Arms in Dover

Fire crews battled to control a blaze which destroyed part of a Dover pub on Friday (11 September).
 

Firefighters rushed to the scene at The Cinque Ports Arms in Clarence Place just after 6.30pm.

The cause is unknown and an investigation is under way.

A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue confirmed 90 per cent of the pub's outbuildings were destroyed by the flames, along with around 10 per cent of the pub itself.

There were no reports of casualties.
