SeaFrance recovery plan will see ships and jobs cut

Plans to cut costs at the cross-Channel ferry company SeaFrance could mean fewer ships and hundreds of job losses.

The ferry company which is owned by French national rail company SNCF announced in May this year that the company was in financial difficulties.

It is reported that following the finalisation of a recovery plan, the company's channel fleet will be cut from seven to three vessels and 550 workers in France will lose their jobs.
