Cinque Port Arms serves up plenty of Carnival spirit - (Photo)

Have your say!

Dear Editor

I would just like to send my thanks to the staff and patrons of The Cinque Port Arms who so kindly gave me a lift on their float at the Dover Carnival on Saturday 4th July.

Despite severely injuring my ankle last Thursday, I was determined to take part in the parade - even if it meant hobbling along on crutches - as I had promised the Chairman of DCAL, Mandie Sehmbi, that I would take part.

However, the Cinque Port Arms heard of my plight and offered me a lift on their Venetian Gondola float.

Thanks everyone, I had a great time during the parade, and I will take part in the Publican's Walk with you, as promised, as long as my ankle is better.

Yours

Karol Steele
