Hythe beach drug smugglers jailed

Five men have been jailed after their plan to smuggle more than £1m of cocaine from France to Hythe beach in Kent using speedboats was foiled.

Four of the men admitted conspiring to supply controlled drugs at Canterbury Crown Court. Three were sentenced to nine years, the other eight years.

The fifth man was given nine years for the same charge following a trial.
