Police charge man over sexual assault

A man who was arrested for allegedly indecently touching a woman on a bus last week has been charged.

The 51-year-old man from Etchinghill was charged with sexual assault by touching following an alleged incident involving an 18-year-old girl on the number 17 bus between Lyminge and Folkestone on Tuesday (23 June).

He appeared before Folkestone Magistrates on Friday (26 June) and was remanded in custody.

There is to be a committal hearing on Friday (3 July).
