It is the longest and one of the best loved summer dance events in Kent, and having run since 1997 it must be good.

Let’s Face The Music And Dance has delighted dancers, singers and actors for the last 12 years and will continue to do so.

It has become one of Kent’s biggest and best musical theatre summer events with pupils travelling from all areas of Kent and beyond. This year it will celebrate its’ 1000th pupil attending.

Held at Dover College from August 3rd – 7th, dancers, singers & actors age 9 -20yrs have the chance to take classes with Mitch Rumin (professional director/choreographer, Brian Rogers, Wayne Sleep, Arlene Phillips dancer & West End Theatre Agent) and his team of professional teachers.

Mitch has performed with many star names over the years (including Barbara Windsor, David Jason, Julian McMahon (Nip and Tuck), Bonnie Langford, Boy George, Noel Edmonds, Freddie Starr, Catherine Zeta Jones and the cast of  Home and Away to name a few) in theatre and television since graduating from The London Studio Centre, one of the UK’s leading colleges.

He has also choreographed musicals, pantomimes, pop promos, commercials, cruises and has directed leading names from several TV shows including Allo Allo, Hi-De-Hi, Eastenders and recently American actor Antonio Fargas (Huggy Bear from the hit US series Starsky and Hutch).

He has taught at The London Studio Centre and through his own classes he now has pupils at The Royal Ballet School, The London Studio Centre, Performers, Arts Educational School, Millennium and Bird College. He has recently become a partner in a West End Theatre Agency which represents actors, dancers and children, and has clients working all over the world. He will be keeping a close watch during Let’s Face The Music and Dance for any potential child stars.

During the week there will be exciting classes and workshops in an array of styles including jazz/hip hop/street, tap, musical staging, drama, singing, choreographic and production.

They run daily Monday – Friday from 10am – 4.30pm with a performance on the final afternoon showcasing their talents. (Admission free to family and friends).

The cost of this fabulous week is only £72.50, which includes the show. Places have just started to be offered for booking and are unfortunately limited - so do not wait.
