Two men from Wales are planning to dirty up the English Channel when they attempt a crossing in a canoe made from poo.

The "Poo Canoe", as they call it, is an 18-foot canoe built entirely of recycled paper mixed with sheep droppings and sealed with a combination of beeswax and soya bean extract.

Lez Paylor and Lawrence Toms have been making and selling sheep-poo paper for years, and about six months ago they decided to take use their paper to make a sea-going craft.

They are planning to use the trip across the Channel to raise money for the Air Ambulance in Wales, their favourite charity.

After the first test though, they found a large wet spot and the canoe is to get another layer of poo.
