Actress Joanna Lumley visited schoolchildren and parents attending a fete at a Dover school on Saturday.

Guston Primary School, which has a very large number of Nepalese pupils greeted the Gurkha veterans' champion, who was Guest of Honour at the school fete.

Miss Lumley chatted to visitors as she made her way around the many stalls and happily posed for photographs and signed autographs.

Head teacher Deby Allen thanked Joanna for all her work and support for the Gurkhas and their families.
