Work begins on Dover's Olympic Live Site big screen

Work has started on Wednesday (6 May) installing the Olympic Live Site big screen in Dover Market Square.

This means the screen could be up and running by the end of June for use by the community for information and local events, as well as for national events and the Olympics in 2012.

The screen was secured for Kent by the County Council’s Sport, Leisure and Olympics Service, working with the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (LOCOG).

The BBC will be providing content and management of the screen.

Dover is the first Live Site chosen that is not a city.
