Lydd Airport which is waiting a decision over its expansion plans has announced that an air charter company is now operating from the Romney Marsh site.

Trans Air Euro, which provides air transport services in Britain and across Europe, has set up a base at the terminal building.

Shepway Council have failed to make their long awaited decision over the company's application for a 444m runway extension and a new terminal building capable of handling up to 500,000 passengers a year.
