Giant 2012 Olympic TV screen for town centre

Dover District Council  have approved plans for the Olympic Live site in the town.


It means a huge TV screen has been given the go ahead for the Market Square, which will be used for information and local events, as well as for national events and the Olympics in 2012.

The BBC will provide content and manage the screen. Dover will be the first Live Site chosen that is not a city.

Cllr Paul Watkins, Leader of Dover District Council said: “The screen represents a physical legacy from the 2012 Games, and provides another key element in the partnership working that is reshaping Dover District for a very positive future.
