Man arrested after pedestrian struck by car

A man has been arrested following an incident in which a pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a car in Dover.
 


The 31-year-old victim was taken to a London hospital with serious head injuries following an incident in the Tower Hamlets area of the town in the early hours of today (25 April).

Police said they believed he was struck by a car after an argument in Northbourne Avenue, Dover just after midnight.

A 41-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

The road has was closed off while forensic officers carried out their investigations.

Police have appealed for people who can help their inquiries to contact them.
