Out & About

Sellindge Music Festival ticket buyers in April will not only see the legendary band Supergrass but they will also have the chance of winning a VIP weekend at the annual event.

The festival, whose line-up will see the Supergrass top a bill including Young Knives, The Holloways, Red Light Company and a fantastic array of new music in the shape of Marina and The Diamonds, Thomas Tantrum, The Answering Machine, 4 or 5 Magicians, Video Nasties and several others, takes place in the countryside between Ashford and Folkestone on the first weekend of June.

The chance to win the VIP package is open to everyone who buys their ticket before midnight on Thursday 30th April and includes a limo ride for four to the festival site, a priority camping spot and equipment including tent, sleeping bags, chairs and food, helicopter tours and an overnight stay at the 4-Star Hythe Imperial Hotel at the end of the festival, where they’ll be treated to a full breakfast and a visit to the spa the following morning. Once they’ve recovered from the long weekend, the limo will take them back home.

Ticket prices range  from £5 for under 12s for a single day to £55 for adults staying the whole weekend.

Aside from the main stage, the weekend will see performances in the acoustic tent from Ben’s Brother and Emmy the Great, supported by a line-up packed full of up-and-coming stars from the singer-songwriter and folk genres.

BBC Kent Introducing will also be making an exclusive return to Sellindge this year, showcasing the county’s most popular acts including Floors and Walls, Kouncilhouse, Tom Williams and The Boat, Los Salvadores and Elephants.

This year’s dance tent will be hosted by HeadRoc, the amalgamation of two of Kent’s most successful dance nights, Evissa and Basslick, who will be brining the cream of Kent DJing talent alongside some of the most established names in dance including Micky Slim, Hoxton Whores, Brandon Block, Eddy Temple-Morris and Cut La Roc.

The festival also promises stand-up comedy, food, drink, trade stalls, a funfair and helicopter tours.

Tickets are available to buy online and from selected outlets across the South East. For full information visit www.sellindgemusicfestival.co.uk
