Police car on urgent call badly damaged in Hawkinge crash

Following a two vehicle collision in the Millfield area of Hawkinge involving a police car and a Ford Mondeo, Police are appealing for witnesses.


A spokesman for Kent Police explained that an officer was on route to an urgent call on Sunday (12 April) shortly before 4.00pm, when a collision occurred in Millfield, Hawkinge.

The driver and passenger of the car attended hospital as a precaution, and were later discharged.

The police officer was not injured, but the vehicle he was driving was badly damaged as well as a post box and a garden wall.

Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the crash and would like to hear from any witnesses on 01622 798538.
