A man who has chronicled sightings of big cats in the Hawkinge area as well as the rest of Kent has just published a book on the subject.

Local big cat spotter Neil Arnold has written the first ever book to chronicle sightings and evidence of large cats roaming the countryside of Kent, Sussex and the outskirts of London.

Published on 18th March, the book, Mystery Animals of Kent has over 400 pages devoted to Neil's passion.

Mentioned in the book are many sightings around the Hawkinge area, together with photographs.

Neil said: "Several chapters are also devoted to many other mystery animals sighted throughout the county.

"Wallabies, wild boar, wolves, exotic reptiles, strange insects, colourful birds, and folkloric creatures to chill the spine."

Copies can be ordered directly from the author at;
