There has been a cry of 'encore' for DGSB's critically acclaimed Spring production of 'The Boy Who Fell into a Book.'

The Ayckbourn play starring James Coe, Ben Steele and Girls' Grammar pupil, Jasmin Cox, proved such a huge hit with children, that there will be a repeat performance in the Roundhouse Theatre on 30 March for local primary school children.

The play tells the story of Kevin (James Coe) who finds himself falling into the book he is reading at bedtime, 'Rockfist Slim and the Case of the Green Shark'. To his surprise he encounters the hero of the book, the American detective Rockfist Slim (Ben Steele) and together they must escape the clutches of Rockfist's enemy, the deadly assassin Monique (Jasmin Cox).

As they flee, they find themselves moving through Kevin's book collection - from Chess to Beginners to Grimm's Fairy Tales - and meet a strange collection of characters from the stories. Pursued all the while by Monique, Kevin must find his way back to his bedroom and help Rockfist solve his case.

Invitations have been sent to local primary schools for this special repeat performance - which is a first for the drama group.
