An opportunity to explore buried treasures, to uncover the stories behind your own finds, and enjoy a fun day out for all the family can be discovered at Dover Museum on Saturday 21 March – with the Archaeological Finds Day and Hands On History Event.

Adults and children alike are invited to come along to the event at Dover Museum and bring their favourite archaeological finds to be identified and recorded by the Finds Liaison Officer for Kent.

The day will also feature a Hands on History Event organized by the White Cliffs Metal Detecting Club, with the chance to meet members of the club and find out about metal detecting, and to look at items from their collection and have a go at using a metal detector to find hidden treasure.

Visitors can also enjoy the latest Family Activity Day, which is taking place at the same time, and features creative activity using a range of materials to decorate a flowerpot.

The events all take place from 10am to 4pm. Entry to Dover Museum is free for local residents and there is no charge for these events.
