Two deny attempt to smuggle £1m drugs through Dover

Two men denied attempting to smuggle £1m worth of amphetamine into the country when they appeared in court.

The men from Merseyside, were arrested when officers from the UK Border Agency searched their van as it docked at Dover Eastern Docks on a ferry from Calais on Wednesday evening (4 March).

They appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court yesterday when they were remanded in custody to appear before Dover Magistrates’ Court on March 12.
