Demelza children and their families were treated to a Christmas party extravaganza, thanks to Wilkinson staff.

Wilkinson stores in Kent, Essex and South East London including those in Folkestone, Ashford and Canterbury joined together to organise the annual children’s Christmas party for the Demelza charity which helps children with cancer and gives support to their parents.

Staff in their Disney character costumes all helped the party go with a swing.

The event in Bexley included a Santa’s Grotto with gifts for the children and parents, an activity room for arts and crafts, a magician, balloon modeller, dance troupe and disco as well as a raffle and tombola.

Wilkinson Regional Manager Nick Dubery also handed Demelza a cheque for £13,207.35 raised by staff.

Charlton Athletic players Elliot Omuzusi, Luke Holden, Therry Racon and Kelly Youga came along to pose for photos and sign autographs and Kent County Cricket Club players Darren Stevens and Rob Key and mascot Spitfire gave chocolate to the children.

Children were given a Disney soft toy when they left, thanks to a donation by the Bluewater Disney Store.
