Deborah and Duncan Armour LRPS recently presented a selection of their images taken in Madagaskar.


It was a wonderful evening, seeing some brilliant photography and also an insight into the wildlife and flora and fauna of that region.

Deborah also visited us Last week to judge our 2nd Print and Monochrome Image competition of the season. Being a very competent and experienced photographer, she gave us very good comments on how we can improve our photography. He was an excellent judge and gave a wide range of marks out of 20. Winners of each section were as follows:-

On Monday 30th November, ROBERT CANIS will be presenting “FLOWERS & FUNGHI, THE ART OF WILD PLANT PHOTOGRAPHY” A welcome return by one of our favourite Natural History Photographers Plus our Chairman’s informal print competition “Urban Wildlife” – pictures from our garden, backyard, window-box or personal open space

Projected Image Competition No.3 will be held on 7th December with our Christmas Social on 14th. There will be no meeting on 21st and 28th December and we return again on 4th January with our 4th Print and Monochrome Digital Image Competitions.

On Saturday, 27th March 2010 we are hosting AN EVENING WITH CHARLIE WAITE One of the nation's leading photographers comes to The Tower Theatre, Shorncliffe, Folkestone. For details of how to book your tickets, please contact us by phone, e mail (see below) or visit our website.

Meetings are held at the St. Georges Church, Audley Road, Folkestone (on the corner of Shorncliffe Road, opposite West Station), every Monday, commencing at 7.30pm.
