Passengers stuck in broken down trains should vent their spleen at Eurostar, not Eurotunnel

Have your say!

Dear Editor,

Hats off to the travelling public who by and large were good natured and co-operative despite enduring long delays and gridlocked traffic.

Aside from the obligatory but thankfully few pig headed individuals emergency services were able to get things moving outside the Channel Tunnel site although it was a slow and painful process for all concerned.

This was an unprecedented incident with 4 broken down trains causing a logistical nightmare for emergency planners and Eurotunnel (not Eurostar) staff who worked hard to get the service up and running again.

Most people are not aware that Eurostar are a separate entity to Eurotunnel who should also be congratulated for their efforts.

Those passengers who were stuck on trains should vent their spleen at the right people which in this case is Eurostar and not the tunnel operators Eurotunnel!
