The Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury has been forced to cancel several performances of the Peter Pan pantomime.

The shows on Tuesday 8, Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 December have been cancelled due to a diesel spillage at the Marlowe Theatre Arena on Tuesday evening.

The decision to cancel was made because audiences would not have been able to enjoy the show comfortably. The decision to cancel subsequent performances was taken in order to clean-up the site as quickly as possible.

Customers who have tickets for cancelled shows will be contacted by the Box Office team as soon as possible.

They will be offered an exchange for similar tickets for another performance but if customers are unable to go to an alternative performance then a full refund will be offered.

Exchanges and refunds need to be done at the Box Office via the Box Office number or in person at the Visitor Information Centre. Booking fees will also be refunded.

It is hoped that the Panto will be up and running in time for the morning show on Friday 11 December.
