Work to start on Hawkinge Care Home Complex

Building of the long awaited Care Home on the so-called employment land off Haven Drive, Hawkinge is expected to begin at the beginning of 2010.
 

Shepway District councillor, David Godfrey met with Ernie Graham of Graham Care Homes last week and was told a main contractor has now been appointed for the project.

The appointment of sub contractors is currently underway and it is planned for work to commence in January 2010.

The home will provide around 70 to 80 bedrooms with day rooms and treatment areas together with a number of one-bedroom extra care suites.
