Comedian Vic Reeves, entertained his audience for over an hour at the Quarterhouse in Tontine Street, Folkestone on Saturday night (7 November).

Vic, real name Jim Moir, who lives in east Kent, was in conversation with Fiona Lindsay during the second day of the Folkestone Book Festival to promote his new book, 'Vic Reeves' Vast World of Knowledge'.

As well as discussing how he became a comedian, after working as a factory inspector of aeroplane parts, he talked about topics as diverse as caravans, boxers, and quantum mechanics.

These topics and more all appear in Vic's new book, a surreal take on an encyclopaedia, illustrated and written by Vic in is own Dadaist style.

After the show, he was on hand to autograph copies of the book and his autobiography, cleverly entitled Me:Moir, as well as to chat to members of the audience.

The Book Festival (formerly The Shepway Literature Festival) continues until 14 November.
