Festive events in Folkestone on the run up to Christmas are listed below.

Saturday 28th November

11am Christmas Parade with Santa & reindeer, cast fromCinderella pantomime including coach and horses, Hawkinge Flyers, Folkestone & Hythe Sea Cadets Band etc.

10am to 3pm Seasonal Market in Rendezvous Street.

11.30 to 1.30pm meet the cast of Cinderella in Sandgate Road.

11.30 to 4pm meet Santa’s reindeer Rendezvous Street.

11.30 to 5.30 Childrens fairground rides, entertainment from RWE Roadshow, Louise Orfilla, Esther Howgill, cast of Cinderella and many others.

5.30pm Lights switch-on by Adam Dowling of KmFm radio, with Louise & Esther.

Thursday 10th December

5.30 to 8pm A ‘living nativity’ sponsored by Folkestone TownCouncil organised by Folkestone Town Centre Management and Churches Together. Come to see the Christmas Story unfold in the town centre, with Mary, Joseph, donkey, sheep and camels!

Churches together will also be gift wrapping, DJ workshops, puppet show and live music.

Friday 11th December

1.30pm Schools Carol Singing Competition sponsored by Debenham’s Folkestone in the Precinct outside Debenhams
Parents, Grandparents, friends & neighbours are welcome to Support their children.

Thursday 17th December

6pm to 8pm Churches Together have organised an evening of carols, gift wrapping, music, Christmas DJ workshops & puppet show.

Saturday 19th December 2009

11am Entertainment from Youth 2000, in the Sandgate Road Precinct area.

2pm Lively dancing demonstrations from the Lindyhoppers, again in Sandgate Road.

Ongoing throughout the Christmas Season

Santa in Debenhams every day from 28th November until Christmas.

Late night shopping until 8pm every Thursday in Bouverie Place Shopping Centre.

Salvation Army playing every Saturday leading up to Christmas.
