Political conferences - Is the power with the media?

Have your say!

Dear Editor,

Re: Do political party conferences really matter?
Do you not think that the power lies mainly with the media ?

They may talk of disunity when to the participants it feels like democracy, or they might label a speech as that of a Prime Minister in waiting rather than that of an indecisive people pleaser with no new ideas and a definite intention to fleece the poor.

It all depends where you stand and the media are the ones with the power to decide where people will stand and what they will see.
