Hawkinge Community Centre looking to the future

New events at the Hawkinge Community Centre include An Evening of Clairvoyance, Tea Dances and Roller-skating.

The Evening of Clairvoyance is being hosted by the Centre next Saturday (17 October).

Doors open at 7.00pm and the evening begins at 7.30pm.

Tickets which cost just £3 are available either in advance from the Community Centre or buy them on the night.

Limited readings will be available after the demonstration.

The Community Centre is also starting monthly Tea Dances from Wednesday 14 October between 3.00pm and 5.00pm featuring live vocals from Kas the 'new forces sweetheart'.

Admission is £2.50 and refreshments will be available.

For those more energetic villagers why not try Roller-skating.

Sessions are held most Fridays and cost £4.00. For more information ring 01304 619007

The Hawkinge Hurricanes Basketball Club has grown too large for the Churchill School and will be running their first session on Sunday Afternoon from 15th November 2pm to 4pm.

Sessions will be charged at 5 pounds and last up to two hours depending on skill level.

More exsperienced Players will be assisting the Coach.

All player must complete an application form before being invited to participate. Selection will be by our regular WELL BEHAVED Members. Application forms from reception and returned when Parents have signed. ADULT HELP IS REQUIRED please offer. Coach

Correction to the basketball times is as follows.

12.30 on court to 2pm

This may have to be added to as the number of under 12s has increased.

Have just received a grant for new equipment which will now help us to invite other teams for games.

Parents are welcome to stay throughout the session.

Under 12s 2.50 over 12s under 16s 5 pounds Coach comes free all income towards the hire of facilities.
