It's very clear Mr Prosser why Folkestone needs two high-speed rail stops

Dear Editor,

Re: Bid to lose Folkestone Central or Folkestone West stop on high-speed line taken up with Ministers
How can Mr Prosser ask for more stops in and around Dover in one paragraph, then wish to lose stops in the next?

There is a very clear and easy reason why Folkestone needs two stops - parking facilities are available at Folkestone West, whilst Folkestone Central is the focus of public transport into the town.

This is not the case in Dover.

Also, the large number of people who get on at each station are evidence of the usage.

Perhaps Mr Prosser should contact some of Labours old spin doctors to help sell the extra minute to commuters.

Cllr Stuart Peall
