Kent Police is appealing for information after a man was shot in an incident on Alkham Valley Road in the village of Alkham on Monday 26 October.

It is believed two motorists were involved in an altercation at approximately 10pm, one of whom sustained serious injuries when he was shot in the stomach. The 31-year-old man is recovering in the William Harvey Hospital.

The offender, believed to have been travelling in a light-coloured car, drove off in the direction of Dover. Officers do not believe the men knew one another.

Detectives are keen to speak to three female care workers who stopped at the scene to help the man, and three men in a Peugeot 306 stopped shortly after the incident.
